Senior Year Presentation

The Future Readiness Presentation is designed to help students reflect on their high school journey, showcase their readiness for college and career, and practice essential communication and professional skills. By articulating their goals, achievements, and experiences, students demonstrate how they’ve become future ready—capable, confident, and prepared to take their next step toward success after graduation.

During their senior year, students complete the Future Readiness Project Presentation, a capstone experience that highlights their growth, learning, and preparation for life after high school. This formal presentation, lasting 6–9 minutes, gives students the opportunity to share their postsecondary goals, the steps they’ve taken to achieve them, and the skills they’ve developed throughout high school.

Each presentation includes:

  • A clearly defined postsecondary goal and detailed plan for achieving it.

  • Evidence of growth in at least three of the six Core Competencies: Character, Communication, Collaboration, Content Knowledge, Creativity, and Critical Thinking.

  • A summary of the student’s Workplace Exploration Experience, including what they learned, who mentored them, and how the experience shaped their future plans.

Students present their work to a panel of community evaluators, demonstrating professionalism, organization, and confidence. Presentations are enhanced through visuals created in Google Slides and supported by artifacts from the student’s Xello Portfolios.
