Workplace Exploration Experience
Future Readiness Project
The Workplace Exploration Experience is a core component of the Future Readiness Project and is designed to help students connect what they learn in the classroom to real-world career opportunities.
Through direct engagement with professionals and exposure to authentic work environments, students gain valuable insight into potential career paths, industry expectations, and postsecondary options. This experience allows students to explore careers of interest while developing practical knowledge, professional skills, and confidence in planning for life after high school.
Each student will identify and connect with a mentor who is actively working in their chosen career field. Mentors provide guidance, perspective, and support throughout the exploration process, helping students better understand workplace culture, career pathways, and professional expectations. To ensure broader exposure, mentors may not be a high school employee or a student’s parent.
