My name is Mrs. Vandegrift and I’m Sorensen’s General Music Teacher, P.E. Teacher, the head of Stage Tech Crew and leader of the Sorensen Marimba Cats. There are so many fun and exciting performance opportunities at this school!
I have been teaching in the Coeur d’Alene School District since 2016. In addition to my degree in education, I have certifications in Orff Schulwerk, World Music Drumming and Feierabend First Steps in Music. Currently, I am a member of Coeurimba, Coeur d’Alene’s adult marimba group, and sometimes I play tuba with the North Idaho Wind Ensemble.
This year our grade level performances will be:
Kindergarten - End-of-Year Informal Showcase
1st & 2nd grade - Winter Holiday Show
3rd Grade - Family folk Dance Night
4th Grade - Idaho History Presentation
5th Grade - 5th Grade Exposition (items shared throughout the year, not an in-person performance)
