Every fall, for the last 18 years, Sorensen has sold our coveted coupon books to members of our community. It’s the PTO’s largest fundraiser and the money raised goes to support our teachers, students, and our school in general. In the past, we’ve used the coupon book funds to purchase playground equipment, projectors for classrooms, supplies for teachers, and general school needs not included in the School District budget.

This year we have nearly 50 coupons in the book and many are new to the coupon book this year! We hope to start distributing coupon books to students to sell towards the end of next week. Your child should be coming home with a permission slip in their backpack today that needs to be filled out and turned in before they are given the coupon books. This allows us to know how many books are checked out and by who.

We check out 10 books at a time and once that fundraiser money/checks have been returned they can fill out another permission slip for 10 more. It really helps us to have money and any books you don’t think you will sell returned promptly to give other kids the chance to sell those books if needed. We would love to have permission slips turned in by September 27th but the sooner the better!

We will have many opportunities to win prizes for your child’s classroom and even teachers this year. To encourage early sales, this year we are doing a class competition for most books sold and money returned by October 18th! The class with most returned wins a cookie party for their class and a $25 Amazon gift card for their teacher(K-5). All coupon books sold need to be returned to your kids teacher by that date to be included.

Coupon book sales go through November 15th.
All money and any left-over books MUST BE TURNED IN by that date to be counted for the final class prizes. This year we will be doing a cake party for the classrooms with the highest participation and all $$$$ returned by our deadline of NOVEMBER 15TH. There will be one winner for both K-2 and 3-5 classrooms.
