My name is Jessica Petersen and I am thrilled to be part of the Sorensen community and to teach Kindergarten at this amazing school.  This is my eighth year teaching, and after taking some time off to raise my two wonderful daughters, I am excited to return to the classroom.  I have taught first grade, second grade and Title 1 reading. 

I grew up in Orofino, Idaho, and I graduated from the University of Idaho, where I met my husband, Hank.  We enjoy all that Idaho has to offer, from camping and swimming in the summer to skiing in the winter.  Our family loves exploring the great outdoors in our beautiful area.

I love being a teacher and I am dedicated to creating a nurturing and engaging environment where every student can thrive.  I look forward to a wonderful year of learning and growing together!
