Beth Hebener

Welcome to Sorensen Magnet School for the Arts and Humanities Library!

My name is Beth Hebener, and I am so excited to be working with your kids in the library here at Sorensen this year.

I grew up here in Coeur d’AIene and live downtown with my husband and our two boys (who are students at Sorensen). We love our downtown community and feel very fortunate to be raising our children here. When not in school, you can often find us biking around town enjoying the many beautiful sights our area has to offer. I love to bike, hike, swim, camp, raft, ski and spend time with family and friends.

Everyone here at Sorensen is excited about fostering a love of reading in every student, and in the library I spend lots of time talking about great books, reading great books, and teaching library skills.  Guidance is given to our students as to reading level and reading appropriateness, but we do need your help. The books come at a variety of mature and interesting levels to meet the needs of all students.  Please talk with your child about the books he/she is reading. You know better than we do what is appropriate for them. Your assistance is appreciated.
