My name is Jennifer Edmonds and I am one of the first grade teachers here at Sorensen Magnet School of the Arts and Humanities.
I have been teaching since 1994 and I've been here at Sorensen since 2008. I’ve taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, 4th grade, and been a Reading Specialist in Post Falls and also here at Sorensen. I earned my teaching degree from Western Washington University in 1994 and then I earned my Masters in Education (with an emphasis in Literacy) from the University of Idaho in 1997. I love being a part of the Sorensen community!
My husband Eric is also a teacher here in CDA at Lake City High School and we have three children~ Ben, Elisabeth and Nathan. I enjoy reading, traveling, walking my dog, drinking lattes and of course, teaching! My family and I love living in Coeur d’Alene, as well as spending as much time as we can out at the lake.
I have taught at a couple of different schools during my career and I am most impressed with what we do here at Sorensen. The students love their learning which is integrated with the arts. I believe in our school so much that I transferred my own kids here! Sorensen truly is a special place.
