Hello! Welcome to Kindergarten at Sorensen Magnet School of the Arts and Humanities. I am very excited and privileged to be your child’s teacher. I feel so fortunate that I have a job that allows me to work with kids every day. In thirty years of teaching, I can honestly say I have never had a boring day of work.
Let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Scott DuCoeur. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Idaho and later returned to school to earn my Master's degree. I have taught in Post Falls, Indonesia, Germany, and of course, Coeur d'Alene. This is my sixteenth year at Sorensen. My wife, Moira DuCoeur, is one of the 3rd grade teachers here at Sorensen. All four of our kids went to Sorensen. I love traveling, sports, camping, backpacking, and spending time with family and friends.
