I am so thrilled to be here with you all and wanted to share a little bit about myself!

I grew up in Gig Harbor, Washington, and graduated from Peninsula High School in 2003. I went on to earn my degree in Education from Pacific Lutheran University. I began my teaching career in Vancouver, Washington, where I taught 7th-grade Life Science.

After my first year of teaching, I married into the military and have spent the past decade traveling with my family and working in a variety of school districts across Hawai’i, California, Virginia, Washington, and now Idaho!

I have two children and two dogs who keep life busy and fun. After having my son, I developed a passion for photography. I still love taking photos of my family, friends, pets, and especially flowers!

I am so excited to be here and am looking forward to another amazing year of learning, discovery, and science!
