The Woodland Middle School basketball team recently came together to support airmen stationed overseas in Middle East, packing a total of seven boxes filled with essential items, including sanitary products, jerky, and oatmeal.
In addition to assembling care packages, students wrote individual thank-you notes to express their gratitude.
As part of this project, students also completed a special learning activity—a "homework packet" on the history of the 332nd Air Wing, a descendant of the legendary Tuskegee Airmen, also known as the "Red Tails." Great work, Woodland athletes for your generosity, hard work, and dedication to honoring those who serve our country!
