About The Teacher
This is Karlee Cysewski's 12th year as an English teacher and her first at Venture Academy. She is currently working on her doctorate in Educational Leadership. In rare moments of spare time, she's at her kids' games, helping out a local theatre production, crafting, playing video games, or hiking. She has been known to say she has too many interests and too little time.

About The Class
High school English isn’t just about memorizing grammar rules and vocabulary; it’s really about figuring out how to share your thoughts. Being able to write and think critically is important, especially in the global economy. When students feel safe to express themselves, dive into different stories, and explore new ideas, they discover their own voices and become the authors of their own stories.
