The Drumming Team works on strengthening drumming skills and learning specific songs that we can perform for our school and out in our community. While every student at Sorensen gets time through the Arts and Humanities program to learn to play the African drums, our Performance Team takes it a step further to become more advanced drummers.

We enjoy learning African songs which incorporate different rhythms, keeping a consistent beat, and adding additional instruments.

At times, we also collaborate with other performance teams as added percussion to their songs.  It takes extra time after school for practice, and a drive to become a better drummer, but it is so worth it!
