History
I graduated from New Mexico State University in 2013 with a degree in anthropology and archeology. I am married with one child in high school and one at the University of Idaho. I love traveling the world, camping, art and watching documentaries. I am a huge history nerd! I teach 9th grade honors world history, Western civilization and US history.
I believe that understanding the past helps us make sense of the present and navigate the future. History gives students the opportunity to understand their place in the world, learn from the experiences of those who came before them, and become thoughtful, engaged and productive members of their communities. I am passionate about making history meaningful and helping students see that the stories of the past are not just something to study, they are tools for understanding the world around us.
