Class Visits & Course Requests

Starting February 18th, Mrs. Georgius, our College and Career Coordinator, and I will be visiting English classes. We will be reviewing graduation requirements, sharing any changes to these requirements, academic pathways that open junior year, and next year course requests.

Here is a copy of the presentation containing all the information that is being provided to students. Note: There are hyperlinks throughout the pages for more information on KTEC, Dual-Credit, Course Requests, and more.

Students will be coming home with a copy of their transcript and course request sheets for their junior year. Students must bring their course requests back to their English courses according to the dates in the presentation. We will be inputting their requests into Skyward on my second visit the week of the 24th and reviewing their progress for graduation.

NEW Dual-Credit Students NIC Applications

Students who are planning to take dual-credit courses on LCHS campus, through NIC online, or at NIC campus will need to complete the New Dual-Credit Student Application with NIC. Note: If you are currently in NIC Medical Terminology on campus, you do NOT need to reapply.

Applications for New Dual-Credit Students are now open!  Students can find the application hereBe sure to follow all instructions, including creating an account!  If you have any questions while applying, you can reach out directly to the NIC Dual-Credit Office here.

Students who want to meet with NIC Advisors during their visits to LCHS campus can request a meeting here.  As a reminder, for those of you exploring taking classes over the summer, or on NIC Campus/Online, you will want to talk with an NIC Dual-Credit Advisor to discuss the best plan or offerings based on your goals!  If parents want to speak with NIC Dual-Credit Advisors, you can reach out to their Dual-Credit Office and meet with them at their offices on the NIC campus.

You may also review LCHS's Dual-Credit Information web page for additional information about Dual-Credit and resources, including the LCHS Dual-Credit Student Handbook.
