Heather Harmon

We are pleased to announce our Idaho Panhandle Kiwanis Club , High School Teacher of the Month for February is Heather Harmon, Science Teacher at Lake City High School.

From LCHS Principal Deanne Clifford:
"Students may know Ms. Harmon as their Chemistry teacher but did you know that she has taught math and reading, and currently teaches dual credit chemistry and Spanish??? Ms. Harmon can do just about anything. She even coaches our track and cross country teams! The most important thing to know about Ms. Harmon is that she is just an incredible human. She works countless hours creating engaging lessons and preparing for running events because she cares so deeply for you all as individuals and as learners.

Ms. Harmon is one of those outstanding educators who takes her role as teacher and coach extremely seriously. For more than two decades she has faithfully and selflessly educated countless students. As her colleagues and supporters, we have, many times, over the years, asked her to teach something different or do something extra. She will not say no. As long as what we are asking her to do is in the best interest of students, she jumps at the chance to do what she can to support students, her colleagues and this school and district.

We are incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful, kind, intelligent and simply amazing woman as a member of our Timberwolves’ family. It is very fitting that Ms. Harmon was selected as this month’s district high school teacher of the month. I do not know anyone more deserving of this honor. Ms. Harmon, we salute you…you are the best!"

Congratulations Heather.
