Our Idaho Panhandle Kiwanis Club High School Teacher of the Month for November is Byron Hout, Adaptive PE and Intervention Teacher at Lake City High School.
From Lake City High School Assistant Principal Bryan Kelly:
"It is an honor to have Byron Hout as the November High School Teacher of the Month. Byron has been an inspiration and shining light the moment he has walked through the doors of Lake City High School. His work with intervention and support for students who need the extra help has been a game changer. I don’t know how many meetings I have been in where the student specifically names Byron as the reason they are getting good grades and being successful. I can’t say enough about his Adaptive PE class. Seeing those kiddos participating in all types of athletic events truly brings a smile to not only their faces, but everyone who walks through the gym. Byron has an ability to relate to all students and you can tell by the passion he has for all students to succeed."
