Hello! My name is Toni Brey. My husband, Jason, and I just moved to Coeur d’Alene this past summer with our two youngest sons, Taggart (16), and Hadley (14) and we absolutely love it. We enjoyed spending the summer on the lake and look forward to spending the winter on the snow. Our oldest son, Brent and his wife, Alexis live in Green Bay, WI.
Becoming a teacher has been my dream since I was 7 years old. I had the absolute best 2nd grade teacher and I wanted to be just like her. I started teaching in 1998 after receiving my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Bemidji State University in Bemidji, MN. I taught in Minnesota until 2010, when my husband’s job brought us to Cody, WY. At that time I was able to stay home with our three boys. It wasn’t until 2020 when I went back to teaching full time in West Yellowstone, MT. I taught Middle School English Language Arts, Math, Social Studies and a Life Skills class.
I also enjoy staying involved outside of the regular school day. I have many years of experience coaching HS Track & Field, Cross Country Running, JH Volleyball, and K-12 Chess Team.
I am looking forward to being a part of this amazing Canfield staff and helping your child navigate their middle school experience.
