Dear Coeur d' Alene School District #271 Families,
We are excited to announce the School Board's approval of the Early PLUS program. The childcare provider industry is one that is always in high demand. By opening Early PLUS, we hope to alleviate some of the stress on current child care providers in the area, and create a place where parents can feel confident taking their children. Early PLUS will be open to children 24 months to 5 years old, and be held in 3-6 classrooms at The Early Learning Center(formerly Borah Elementary School).
At this time, we are putting together a list of families interested in utilizing Early PLUS. By filling out THIS FORM http://bit.ly/4i6Wfo2 you will be added to a waitlist. Once registration begins, we will reach out to you in order of waitlist submissions.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
It’s that time of year again! North Idaho fall and winter weather can change rapidly. As a district, we do our best to plan for difficult weather and react quickly to be sure our students and staff are safe. Classes may be delayed and/or schools may be closed due to bad weather or other safety issues. Click the link below for more information pertaining to district school closures and weather delays.

Thank you!

Reminder! Some of our schools will serve as polling places for the general election, so Tuesday, November 5, 2024 is a non-school day for students.
Local officials expect a high voter turnout so it’s best not to hold classes that day to ensure a safe environment for voters and students. Regular school schedules will resume on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

Flag Day is a holiday celebrated on June 14 in the United States. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States on June 14, 1777 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress.

Hard work by district leadership at many levels helped to balance what would have been a $6 million 2024-25 fiscal year budget shortfall in the Coeur d'Alene School District. Great article by the Coeur d'Alene Press. The Coeur d'Alene School Board is expected to adopt its 2024-25 operating budget during a June 24 budget workshop from 4-5:30 p.m. at Midtown.
