Another successful school year is quickly coming to an end. School District 271 Nutrition
Services is excited to partner with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to make sure our
community’s children receive healthy, well-balanced meals while school is out. Any child aged 1 through 18 may come and eat for free. Adults eat for $2.40 at breakfast and only $3.65 at lunch. This summer, meals will be served at Borah, Hayden Lake and Winton elementary schools as well as Lakes Magnet Middle School and Venture High School. The program starts June 15th and runs thru August 18th. Exact dates and serving times may vary from location to location. Our administrative team is here to serve you this year. Troy Schueller (former Assistant Principal) is taking the helm of the Viking ship as Principal. Libby Keyes returns as Assistant Principal and Mike Lindquist (former Principal at Venture High School) joins the team as Vice Principal/ Activities Director.
The ultimate goal at Coeur d'Alene High School is to provide the highest quality education to our students. We will aim for learners to reach their full potential academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Instruction will be purposeful; it will differentiate to meet the needs of all students; regular feedback will be given to all participants.
The single most important priority of Coeur d'Alene High School is our students. The school community works cooperatively together for the greater good of everyone involved.
Even though it is still summer, we are excited to get the year started. We have already begun discussing our goals for the upcoming school year. Two of the goals we are adamant about are:
Relationships. We are committed to building strong Viking relationships with our students, families, and our community.
Communication. Our team believes open communication is vital to having healthy relationships. We welcome you to contact us at any time to discuss your needs and/or concerns. In addition, we will be sending out brief emails on a regular basis to let you know of upcoming events and to recognize groups and individuals.
We invite all students, grades 9th through 12th, to join us for our Back to School Open House / Meet & Greet on Tuesday, August 29th from 6 pm – 7:30 pm.
