Congratulations to Lake City High School English teacher, Mr. Zach Williamson, for being selected as the Coeur d’Alene School District’s High School Teacher of the Month for the month of May, 2025!
Mr. Williamson is an incredible educator! Not only is Mr. Williamson, an expert at bringing life-worthiness into the content of his classes, he builds a strong, positive and collaborative classroom community where students feel supported and care about one another and the learning. In the environment he has created students feel curious and compelled to explore the content and share ideas. In this warm and safe classroom, students report that they learn more due to Mr. Williamson’s approach to teaching.
They say that they are able to develop a deep sense of themselves as learners and human beings and share their evolving perspectives and welcome differing views. Mr. Williamson devotes additional time and energy beyond his contract hours to the benefit of his students and the school as a whole.
He serves as department chair for the English department and his colleagues respect him as a person and an educator. Mr. Williamson goes out of his way to make everyone feel heard, honored and respected. He is definitely very worthy of this district recognition and we are proud to honor him!
