Citlali’s work over the last two years as a choral music teacher at Lakes has been inspiring. Her passion, creativity, and innovative style keep students engaged while promoting collaboration and a growth mindset. Her impact goes beyond her classroom. She has led her choirs to top festival ratings and guided students to succeed in solo and ensemble performances. Her inclusive teaching builds a strong community among students, helping them grow socially and emotionally while enhancing their musical skills. She also fosters school-wide connections, securing grants, organizing visits to local productions, and bringing in guest performers to enrich her students' experience. These efforts make her a very deserving recipient of our 2025 Middle School Rookie Teacher of the Year!
