Chad Odenthal

So happy to announce our Idaho Panhandle Kiwanis Club, Middle School Teacher of the Month for February is Chad Odenthal, U.S. History Teacher at Woodland Middle School.

From Woodland Principal Melisa LaPrath:
"Known for his kindness, patience, and dedication, Mr. Odenthal goes above and beyond to support his students in and out of the classroom.

He demonstrates Grizzly GRIT in even the smallest moments—like when a student needed to find a lost pencil after school. Not only did he allow them to look for it, but he even helped search, all while keeping a positive attitude and sending them off with a warm, “Have a good weekend!”

Mr. Odenthal’s commitment to student success is unmatched. He ensures that every student gets the help they need, explaining material in a way that truly makes sense. His teaching style connects with students, making learning engaging, understandable, and meaningful.

Beyond academics, Mr. Odenthal creates a safe and welcoming classroom environment, where students feel comfortable, supported, and understood. He takes the time to build connections, recognizing that learning is about more than just content—it’s about trust, respect, and encouragement.

For all these reasons and more, we are proud to recognize Mr. Chad Odenthal as this month’s Teacher of the Month!"

Congratulations Chad!
