Our Panhandle Kiwanis Middle School Teacher of the Month for September is Kris Hinz, 6th grade teacher at Canfield Middle School. Nominated by fellow CMS 6th grade teacher, Nicole Leppert.
The following is from Ms. Leppert's nomination form:
"In addition to holding students to high standards both academically and behaviorally, Kris Hinz has dedicated so much time to school projects and district level teams as well. She helped create this amazing community at Canfield through her fun Would You Rather bulletin board, she promotes wellness and camaraderie with her many healthy challenges for teachers at CMS, Lakes, and Woodland, and is on both the ELA Academy and Science Academy, as well as the Operations Team and District Calendar Committee. And if that is not enough extra on her plate, she found a solution to the lagging skills that many 6th graders come to us with and designed a whole new program, Middle School Keys to Success. Kris Hinz is a go-getter, organizational extraordinaire, the ultimate problem solver, and everyone’s biggest cheerleader!"
