The enhanced secuirty system at Lake City High School - including door locks - IS NOW ACTIVE. The buzz-in system includes an intercom and a security camera. After the start of school each day, all doors to the school will lock from the outside and the only point of entry to the building will be through the main entrance. All parents and visitors are required to push an intercom button and state their name and the purpose of their visit in order to gain entry into the school. Staff will make visual and verbal contact prior to granting visitor access to the school. In addition, visitors who are not recognized by school staff may be asked to show photo identification so please keep your ID with you as you visit school. We ask parents and guardians to be patient with school staff as we adapt to this culture change in our schools. Our desire is to remain welcoming at our schools while balancing the need to provide an additional layer of safety and security for our students and staff.
