Mission Statement
The mission of the Department of Students Who Are Deaf and Hard of Hearing is to serve students who are deaf and hard of hearing in our District by providing accommodations according to the students' needs to gain access to education in the public school setting.

Local Deaf Club - The local deaf club has events throughout the year (deaf coffee mornings, seasonal parties, sponsored walk, etc.). For details contact Darcy Sinsley at Email.
Hands and Voices - A great organization for parents to join is Hands and Voices. Hands and Voices produces a newsletter and provides advocacy and support for parents of children with hearing impairments.
Sign School - Sign School is a free and well organized website where you can learn and practice sign language.
Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing - The Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing (AG Bell) is a national website that has advice, information, and all kinds of reources. At AG Bell they are working globally to ensure that people who are deaf and hard of hearing can hear and talk. They are there to provide support, information, resources and more to help guide you on your journey.
Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Their Mission is to create an environment in which Idahoans of all ages, who are deaf or hard of hearing, have an equal opportunity to participate as active, responsible, productive and independent citizens of Idaho.
National Deaf Education Center - A resource that is great for parents, students, interpreters, teachers, and resource staff working with DHH students.
