Safety and Security

SAFETY & SECURITY OVERVIEW

School security and student safety are vitally important in our community. At Coeur d’Alene Public Schools, we are working continuously to evaluate and strengthen our safety program. We welcome families to engage with us on this important topic.

Be alert! All Coeur d'Alene Public Schools staff members, parents, students and community members are encouraged to report anything they see, hear or are made aware of that may disrupt or threaten a school or school program. If you see or hear something, say something: Call 911 or call the non-emergency line at (208) 446-1854.

Please discuss these safety matters with your family. Planning ahead will help alleviate concern during emergencies. Thank you in advance for following these steps to ensure our students, staff, and public remain safe and secure.

We also want to make sure we know how to reach you during a school emergency. We have several ways we share information and updates, and we invite you to plug into our communication channels, whether it’s by text message or email, or through social media and our website.
