About Early PLUS
Early PLUS (Playing and Learning Under Supervision) is a reliable, quality, licensed childcare program offered at the CDA School District's Early Learning Center. We are a school district program governed by the Board of Trustees, strictly self-supported through parent fees. Early PLUS provides children with a rich, stimulating environment in which to learn and grow!
Enrollment in the Early PLUS program is open to any child, aged 24 months to 5 years, living inside the Coeur d' Alene School District 271 boundary.
The program provides children with an active agenda of developmentally appropriate activities including arts and crafts, sports, games, special events, quiet low-key and high energy activities. These activities are presented to the children through the use of learning centers. We encourage interests and skills children will carry with them for years to come.
Early PLUS staff members are committed to guiding the growth and learning of children. These professionals come to us from a variety of backgrounds including teaching in childcare centers, classroom aides, scout leaders, and leaders of church youth groups.
Staff development is provided through training sessions that cover specialized topics such as child development, organizational skills, safety issues, activity planning, first aid, and legal issues. All staff members receive a criminal background check, are CPR/First Aid certified, and Licensed through the City of Coeur d'Alene and the State of Idaho.
