Volunteer in Our District

We love volunteers! Parents, guardians and community members are welcome to help support education through volunteering in our buildings and classrooms. To get started, we ask that you contact the specific school or individual teacher and discuss ways that you can serve our students. If you don't have don't have a specific place you would like to volunteer, call the district office at 208-664-8241 so that we can help identify the best place for your time and talent.

Once it has been established where you will be volunteering, we can begin the screening process below. We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities.

Types of Volunteers

  • Campus volunteers: Anyone who wishes to volunteer on one of our campuses must pass a background check. Background checks are required before volunteering starts.

  • Field Trip volunteers: Like our campus volunteers, most volunteers will be required to pass a background check prior to the trip. However, not all field trips require a background. If you have a question, we urge you to contact the teacher or office manager at your student's school.

  • Background checks must be completed two weeks prior to the field trip.

  • Chaperone volunteers: Any volunteer who intends to drive students in their vehicle or be present during any overnight stay during a field trip will be required to be fingerprinted in addition to the background check. The fingerprinting process is done by appointment only through the human resources department and takes two weeks to receive results. Please plan your appointment at least two weeks prior to the field trip date.

  •

Coach volunteers: Athletic departments across our district utilize volunteer coaches to help with practices and games. Those who wish to assist with these programs in our districts may get more information by contacting the athletics director at a specific school.
