Library

Library hours are 7:30 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.

Welcome to the Woodland Library! My name is Marcia Dixon. I love working at Woodland, I have the sweetest Grandson Grayson who is 2 years old! He brightens my day so much! The library is open before school starts and after school to check out books.  There is a drop box for returning books at the librarian's desk. You can return books between classes, before or after school.
By following these basic procedures, you can help to preserve your library and the wonderful reading materials inside!

  1. The library is a place for students to use the materials available for their preparation and benefit. Do your part to maintain an atmosphere for study.  Please, no food or drinks in the library (except during Homework House).

  2. Observe the procedures established for the proper use of books and other materials. Check books out properly and return them on time. Although we do not charge late fees, it is nice for other students who would like to read the book(s).

  3. When books are lost or damaged beyond repair, fines occur. Arrangements need to be made with the librarian for taking care of these responsibilities.

Finally, students can access e-books through Sora, our online library.  Login to Clever and select Sora to browse the many available books.  Many of the books can be checked out as audio books as well.

Please contact our librarian, Mrs. Dixon, with any questions or concerns. 208-667-5996 ex. 34008

Library CDA Schools

Hello!  I am Marcia Dixon and am thrilled to be the Woodland Library/Media Manager!  I’m a CdA native (CHS class of '87) and have a BS in Communications from the University of Idaho.  I imported a fabulous husband from the Seattle area and have two grown-ish children and one darling, perfect grandbaby boy! We are Empty Nesters and it's kind of weird…. But kind of nice and quiet!

In my previous life (read: before children), I owned and operated a dance studio in Coeur d'Alene for ten years.  I taught tap, jazz, ballet, swing, Irish step dance, country line dance, and high school dance teams in Coeur d'Alene and Spokane.  I can also square dance. It's the official dance of Idaho!

Reading is one of my favorite hobbies and we have a library full of fabulous books here at Woodland!  I hope to share my love of literature with your children and I am here to help them find dynamic, funny, entertaining, thought provoking, and challenging stories and foster a love of reading!
