NIC Important Dates

Remember, that as a dual credit student, it is your responsibility to follow NIC deadlines. You can always reach out to the Dual Credit Office for advising or general dual credit questions. Bold = NIC Campus & Online only

NIC AA Degree Advising

If you would like to schedule a meeting to discuss your progress towards an AA with an NIC advisor, click here to submit a request for a meeting!

NIC Dual Enrollment / Dual Credit Office

Juniors, if you are planning on taking dual credit classes, you need to apply! Check out the NIC Dual Credit website here. 

Application:

  • You must first Create an Account

  • You should use a personal email

  • You should select Dual Enrollment Program as the Academic Program Interest

  • After the account has been created, then you can complete the application

  • Parents will receive an electronic Dual Credit Authorization form after students apply (within 1-2 days). Please have them check their email for this form. Once it is signed by parents, it will come to me to complete the counselor portion of the form.

If you are interested in an Associate Degree (AA or AS) I highly encourage you to meet with an NIC Advisor. Students must have a 3.0 GPA or higher. The NIC Dual Credit website has information on Next Steps.

Bachelors in Developmental Psychology | Masters of Arts in School Counseling, National Certified Counselor

Katalina has been a school counselor for six years and loves it! She studied at Eastern Washington University for her Bachelor's and Gonzaga for her Masters. Katalina's role as a school counselor is to provide social/emotional, academic, and college/career services, which include small groups, guidance lessons, and individualized support. She enjoys getting to know students and guiding them through the ups and downs of high school life. Katalina is here for all students and their families. 

 Katalina is a big believer in self-care! She journals to help with her anxiety and garden to reduce her stress. Katalina enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, hanging out with friends and family, and playing with her two dogs, Bruno and Titus. 

Graduation Requirements

Students in the Class of 2026 need to earn 58 credits to graduate from Lake City High School.

Each semester length class is equal to one credit. Below you will find the break down of where these credits fall by category. If you have any questions regarding you or your student's progress towards graduation, please contact your school counselor.
