Hi!  I'm Robyn Valov, and I serve K-2 students in the Resource Program at Fernan.  I have two adult children and a high school senior.  I have been teaching for 19 years.  I have taught Kindergarten, First Grade, Resource, and Life Skills.  I love teaching!  I also love reading, playing board games, and watching my son play soccer. 

I am really excited about the 2023-2024 school year!  Our resource team is ready to meet kids where they're at and keep them moving forward.  In Resouce, we serve students on IEPs in the general education environment.  Our services and interventions serve students in the following categories: Academics, Social and Emotional, and Behavior.  The Resource Room at Fernan is a busy place, with lots of learning going on ALL the time.  Fernan uses a push-in/pull-out model to service students, as determined by the IEP team, and as reflected in the IEP document.  We use research-based interventions and curriculum in Resource, and progress monitor students regularly to determine if a student is making progress and at what rate.  Our team is flexible, so as to meet all students on our caseloads needs.
