Once a Viking, Always a Viking.
What is Student Council?
Student Council (StuCo) is the student government organization that acts as a representative for the 1500 plus students at Coeur d'Alene High School. StuCo collaborates and partners with administrators, teachers, and staff to improve student life and capitalize on opportunities that provide students with the most valuable learning experiences. Student Council relies upon the associated student body to provide regular and constructive feedback to help determine and resolve school issues, identify and promote activities and events that create unity, and honor and establish traditions that truly set Vikings apart from the rest.
Purpose
The goal of Student Council is to promote a sense of community within the school, act as a voice for students with the administration, provide community service, and raise funds for charitable causes, student body activities, and school climate improvements. The Coeur d'Alene High School Student Council gives students a chance to make decisions about our school and to experience the democratic decision- making process.

What We've Done.
Student Council strives to build a sense of community and togetherness, even during a time when social distancing, gathering, and mask-wearing was required, recommended, or a combination of both. Vikings do not give into defeat and will always find a way to show their pride, promote kindness, and create a sense of belonging at CHS.
The Student Council of Coeur d'Alene High School consists of the Executive and Legislative branches, as well as a staff member who acts as the Advisor. The Executive branch (ASB officers) presides over meetings and oversees all business related to Student Council.
