The State of Idaho permits school districts to provide bus transportation for students who live outside a 1.5 mile radius from the nearest appropriate school (Code §33-1501). However, an exception can be made if the Board of Trustees determines that a student's age, health, and/or safety warrants the district providing transportation to that student, even if he/she lives closer than 1.5 miles from school. This service is called safety busing. A list of no transfer zone maps for each of our schools is below. Take a minute to look over your student's school map to see if you live inside a no transfer zone.
