Congratulations! You have made it to the web page of Chris Pickens. I teach social studies to our 6th grade students. In addition, I teach drawing (Art) to 7th and 8th graders in search of an elective.
I graduated from the University of Idaho with a B.S. in elementary education K-8. I am also certified K-12 in special education. This is my 20th year teaching and my 19th year at Canfield. One thing that I love about being at Canfield Middle School is that I attended it when I was growing up. I also went to Dalton Elementary School and graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School.
When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family and fly fishing. I like all things trout. I fish, tie flies, build rods, and make up stories. I also enjoy reading, watching movies, and playing video games. I am pretty much back to playing Fortnite but am looking for a new one to play. Lastly, I have recently taken up golf which I am terrible at.... but enjoy!
