Welcome to Dr. Pemberton's website! This is my twentieth year at Canfield Middle School. I teach eighth-grade mathematics, and an academic enrichment course. Students will use a variety of strategies and develop critical thinking skills throughout the year.
I was honored to be named the 2013 Idaho State Teacher of the Year and the 2011 Presidential Award recipient for Excellence in Mathematics Teaching. My educational experience includes a BAE from Eastern Washington University, an M.Ed from the University of Idaho, and a doctorate from Walden University. Teaching is my passion! I look forward to working with my students throughout the year.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter. As a family, we enjoy outdoor activities, camping, hiking, fishing, sailing, and training for local triathlons and marathons.
