Mentors

Purpose:  
Canfield’s Mentor Program is designed to build positive relationships and connections among our students, staff members, school, and community.

Qualities of a Good Mentor:

  • Respectful

  • Honest

  • Patient

  • Hard-working

  • Warm and Welcoming

  • Outgoing

  • Willing to have FUN!

Mentor Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a mentor (guide) to incoming 6th graders at Canfield during the 2016-2017 school year which includes facilitating monthly team-building activities in the 6th grade Pride Period classrooms.

  • Participate in school-wide community service events (i.e. food drive)

  • Serve as the Principal’s Advisory Board

  • Serve as student helpers during school-wide events (i.e. 6th Grade Orientation, Elementary Parent Night in March, Open House Night, Back-To-School Nights, etc.)

  • Serve as a member of Canfield’s Respect Team focusing on promoting a positive school climate at Canfield.
