Hello and welcome to my Home page. I am an Eastern Washington University graduate with a B.A.E. In Secondary Mathematics. I also completed my Masters degree from Concordia University in 2016.
I am originally from the Spokane Valley graduating from University High School in 1986. I have 4 children, two girls and two boys. My children have been my main focus outside of work over the years.
Teaching is my second career. I was a sheet metal worker for over 20 years working for various companies in the Inland Northwest. I also lived in Boise Idaho from 1995 to 2000. In 2000 I moved back to the Spokane area and became a teacher for the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee in the sheet metal industry. At that point I decided to return to college and get my Secondary Math degree.
I am currently the Department Chair, on the Guiding Coalition, MTSS, and a peer and student mentor. I am looking forward to a great year!
This year I am teaching Honors Math 3 and AP Calculus.
I will also be using the Judicious Discipline model for classroom management authored by Drs. Forrest and Paul Gathercoal.
