Dear Coeur d'Alene Public Schools Families and Friends,
The March 14 election date for our Levy and Bond is less than five weeks away.
If successful, this important school board election would provide enrichment opportunities and learning environments for our students, but would not raise the current tax rates.
Levies are for Learning:
The Maintenance & Operations (M&O), or Supplemental Levy, support many programs and opportunities our district's students enjoy that are not provided for by the state. It is now 22% of our entire budget, so it is essential to the continuation of these opportunities.
Bonds are for Building:
The proposed Construction Bond will fund major renovation of four schools (CHS, LCHS, Lakes Magnet Middle School and Dalton Elementary) and the construction of a new elementary school in the northwest part of our district.
I will send more information about these important election measures in the coming weeks. If you would like more information about these issues, visit us at www.cdaschools.org/levy/bond.
Please remember to vote on Tuesday, March 14!
