January 12th

Hello!

Well, what a crazy start to the new year. Snow, colds and flu, and an up tick with COVID. I hope many of you were able to rest during the break despite all the craziness.

Valentine’s Day

Our party will be at 2:30 on February 14th. I am asking for each student to bring an empty cereal box or a shoe box next week so we can make it into a Valentine holder.

I also am asking that all Valentines arrive by or before February 10th. The students will hand them out on the 10th and 11th. If you are including candy with the Valentine card, please make sure it is individually wrapped.

They are Here!

Crayfish

Cockroach

Schoology

I have been uploading a lot of the assignments for this week in Schoology. If your child is out sick but can manage to do a little work, ask him/her to log into Schoology and try to stay caught up with the assignment. This is also helpful if your child forgot his/her homework.

Weekly Learning Highlights

Math – Subtracting two and three digit numbers with regrouping

Reading – Analyzing nonfiction text structure

Social Studies/Science – Crayfish and Hissing Cockroaches. They have arrived!

Writing – Information Essay: writing about the Hissing Cockroaches.

Language –  Prefixes the mean "not".

Spelling Pattern - Greek Root: Photo.
