Conflict Resolution and Anger Management

In this group we focus on conflict and how to resolve conflict in a peaceful, respectful manner and how to manage anger in a healthy way. I use many metaphors and stories in this group, such as: Anger is Like Gasoline (both can be good or bad, depending on how you USE them),The Two Gumball Machines, The First Rule of Holes (When you’re in one, stop digging) and Castles and Drawbridges.

Some of the additional materials I use in this group include the books:The Secret of the Peaceful Warrior(Millman),Don’t Pop Your Cork on Mondays(A. Moser), the board games:No More Teasing and No More Bullies, and the worksheets:Feelings, What’s Behind Your Anger, and Language.
