Each year, I teach personal safety to each class here at Bryan. The personal safety lessons are age appropriate, and progressive – building on previous lessons. Our district has an adopted curriculum entitled “Talking About Touching” which provides the foundation for our personal safety lessons. The lessons are prevention focused. We practice and prepare to keep ourselves safe, like fire safety and traffic safety. Parents are always invited and welcomed to attend class for this lesson. We also encourage you to discuss this lesson with your kids and to build on it with your own family safety rules.
