The FastBridge assessment system includes reading, math and social-emotional behavior (SEB) tests that help teachers learn which students need extra help. Some of these FastBridge tests are used with all students for universal screening while some will be provided as needed to identify students who should receive extra help so the teacher can see the student’s progress.
In Coeur d'Alene Public Schools, we provide:
- Illuminate Fastbridge Reading to students in grades 06-12
- Illuminate Fastbridge Math to students in grades 09-12
- SAEBRS social-emotional learning screener as needed
For the Reading assessments, students will receive questions covering:
- Concepts of Print
- Phonemic Awareness
- Phonics
- Fluency
- Vocabulary
- Comprehension
For our High school Math assessments, students will receive questions covering:
- Number Sense
- Whole Number Operations
- Algebra
- Statistics and Probability
- Measurement
- Rational Numbers
- Geometry
At the end of each testing window, a FastBridge Family Report will show how your child’s score compares with students in the same school, our district, as well as the nation. Specifically, FastBridge includes these comparisons so that teachers and parents can compare a student’s score with other students who receive the same instruction as well as with those who might receive different instruction in the same grade level.
