Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Mandee Hiebert
Hi, my name is Mandee Hiebert, and I have been given the exciting opportunity to again serve as Ramsey Magnet School of Science’s school counselor.
I have been on staff at Ramsey since the 2007-2008 school year, so I may look familiar to some of you. To give you a little background, I completed my undergraduate work at College of the Ozarks in Branson, Missouri. I earned my Masters of Education in School Counseling and my Education Specialist degree in School Psychology through the University of Idaho. While completing my graduate program, I served as a psycho-social rehabilitation (PSR) provider, a position that provided me with great experience in working with children and their families.
The Ramsey population will be large with over 700 children this school year. My focus will be to support and advocate for our students. I plan to provide classroom lessons on bully prevention, emphasizing kindness, empathy, and assertiveness skills, as well as teach our students the basics of personal safety. I will be available for consultation with parents and teachers and will provide small group or individual counseling on a case-by-case basis.
Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or concerns about your child’s academic or personal growth. I believe working as a team is the most effective way to serve our students, and parents play a crucial role on that team. I am eager to get started and I look forward to meeting you!
