Our Librarian Mrs. Torres

    Meet Mrs. Torres
Before becoming the Librarian here at Lakes in February of last year,  I was a stay at home mom to two children, Alex and Ben, for 12 wonderful years.  Before that, I worked as a paraprofessional (for 7 years) and taught Physical Education at Moscow Junior High School, in Moscow, ID.  It was then, that I knew I LOVED middle school kids.  They are just so AWESOME!!  There is no other place I would rather be, than at Lakes Magnet Middle School.

One of my main goals for the Library here at Lakes, is getting the students INTO the library.  I want the students to know that it is a safe place for them to go to read, do homework, to hang out, to chat, or to just simply "Be".

Lakes library provides books for all reading levels and interest along with technology services to the students and faculty. We work together to meet the needs of our students while encouraging them to develop a "love of reading."

When I am not at school, I will most likely be found at a softball field, at the lake or simply relaxing at home with my family.
