At Borah Elementary, the Advanced Learning Program emphasizes reading and math for high-performing third, fourth, and fifth grade students. These students are grouped by grade level and receive challenging reading and math instruction that compliments and extends the Core Curriculum.  The primary goal being to meet the needs of these young learners with an appropriate educational experience promoting academic growth.

 

In ALP, we work on extending the skills students need to be successful throughout their school career.  Students learn to notice the world around them, ask questions, and find answers!  Promoting curiosity and motivating students to learn about the world around them is a main goal in my program.

 

We have some exciting events throughout the year, including Math is Cool for 4th and 5th grade, Invent Idaho, and the Spelling Bee.
