Atlas Elementary School was named as Idaho’s 2015 Title I Distinguished School for Exceptional student performance! 

THE TEAM

The Atlas Title I team consists of one Idaho State certified teacher and multiple highly qualified paraprofessional aids who work extremely hard to help students attain their goals by providing small group instruction in a pull-out, push-in and/or one-on-one instructional setting.

THE GOAL

 Atlas Elementary is committed to the goal of providing a quality education for ALL students.  Partnerships among parents, teachers, students, and the community will assist our school in meeting this goal.

 WHAT IS TITLE I?

Title I is a Federal funded program designed to work with children that need an extra boost with their reading, writing and phonics skills. Funding for our program is based on the percentage of free and reduced lunches that our families apply for. Therefore, it is ESSENTIAL that our families apply for free and reduced lunch at our school. Forms may be picked up at the office or in the cafeteria. Even if our families choose not to participate in this program, their application goes towards our funding.  Each district uses its Title I money for extra educational services for children most in need of additional support.  The goal is to help children become successful by providing extra lessons to reinforce reading strategies.
