• Mission Statement

Hello all and welcome to the 2018-2019 school year at Woodland Middle School. The PTA wants to extend a warm welcome to all those parents with new students in our school and of course to all those parents returning this year. The PTA started this year off strong and we look forward to a great coming year. So far this year we have had board meetings, checked out books to all the students in our school, volunteered at the Open Houses and Registration night,  done birthday celebrations for many of our staff members, successfully ran a school fundraiser, passed out Jamba's at  many Jamba Juice Wednesday's, and awards several grants to our hard working staff members. As you can see it's been busy but we have been enjoying it!

"Be a powerful voice for all children , a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child."

If you are interested in joining our great group you can find our membership form. You do not need to be a member to attend meetings but we highly recommend it as this allows you to be a full fledged member with voting rights and you get a shiny card from the PTA. The funds from this almost entirely stay within our state and local area. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about PTA Membership.

    Meet Our Elected Officials

This year your PTA will be led by several lovely and dedicated ladies with children at Woodland. Kristin Nelson is the PTA Presidents this year. Cortney Brown is a wonderful addition to our board as Vice President.  Tristan Hite has been on many PTA board's before and this year holds the position of Treasurer.  Trayce Hemenway is our brand new and amazing Secretary.

    Volunteer Opportunities

As we mentioned above there are multiple volunteer opportunities through the PTA at Woodland. The school itself also offers volunteer opportunities for parents and you can contact them to find out more about those chances. If you're interested in helping out please contact us at woodlandpta1998@gmail.com.  Through the PTA there are other options to help the students of our school, your child, the PTA, and the school itself. Those include:

    Boxtops For Education

Our PTA collects Boxtops for Education to benefit the school. You can find boxtops on many of the products you use in your home every single day. You can put those in an ziploc bag labeled with their name and send them into the school with your child to be left at the office for us at anytime. Twice a year though we will be doing a Boxtops Bonanza where we collect boxtops and the students have a chance to earn prizes so be watching for those box tops.   "Our first Box Top contest brought in over 2,000 box tops! Thanks to all of you who brought in box tops. Please keep clipping those box tops and placing them in a baggie with a piece of paper slipped inside with full name and grade and bring into the office.  Our next contest begins February 1st, but you don’t have to wait until Feb to bring in your box tops but be sure they are marked with you name and grade so you get credit for those box tops!"

Jamba Juice for Pays to Achieve

Has your child been coming home and asking for Jamba Juice money? If they have let us explain to you why. On Wednesday during the entire month your child can purchase Jamba Juice during their lunch hour.  The sales of Jamba Juice help support a truly amazing program at Woodland. Pay's to Achieve is a program that rewards your child for their academic ability. Each A they get through the first 3 semesters of school allows them to get their name entered into a drawing. Your child will be given a ticket for each A they earn and they can put those tickets into the bowls inside the office. Twice a year we have a drawing from those bowls with prizes such as Grizwear, giftcards to popular stores in town, and much more. Even if your childs name is pulled in the first drawing their ticket will go back in for a chance to win during the second drawing. You can send in $3.00 with your child each Wednesday or you can send in a check/cash for $30 dollars with your students name and grade level on it, which gives 11 for the price of 10 Jamba's. We thank you for your support!
