• Hi, my name is Mark Jerome and I am excited to be your students' 4th grade teacher this year at Atlas Elementary. This is my 20th year as a teacher in the Cd'A district and my 17th at Atlas. I am looking forward to a great year with your student filled with exciting and interesting learning opportunities. One of my goals is to make learning fun! I am a graduate of North Idaho College and Gonzaga University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree. Go Zags!
I have a philosophy that students, teachers, and parents are all valuable members of the same learning team. As your child’s teacher I agree to set high expectations and help your child strive to meet them. My hope is that parents also participate in their student's educational experience. I also believe that consistency and communication between teachers and parents is essential for a great learning experience. My goal is to provide a safe and comfortable family-type environment that promotes trust amongst each other, encourages learning and understanding.

    “The mediocre teacher tells.

    The good teacher explains.
    The superior teacher demonstrates.
    The great teacher inspires.”

  • Please make sure your student is reading for at least 20 minutes each night at home. This is one of the most important things you can promote with your students.
Also, any parent wanting to volunteer in the classroom needs to fill out the volunteer form with the district  and have it approved prior to helping out.
