Miss Trish

Hello! I'm Patricia Salois (Miss Trish), NExA's Speech Language Pathologist.

Educational Background: BSc. Linguistics, University of Victoria, Victoria, B.C. , MA Speech and Hearing Sciences, Washington State University, Spokane, Washington. I have been working in the Coeur d' Alene school district for 7 years with the past two years being at NExA. I love working with children and helping them to improve their speech. language and communication skills. The family and shared learning atmosphere at NExA makes it a very special place to work. All staff and team members are committed to helping all children learn and grow among their grade level peers. From a therapist standpoint this is very encouraging because I know that the burden of responsibility for individual children is shared between parents, teachers, special educators, specialists, paraprofessionals, and staff. When the central question for every team decision is "what is best for this student or group of students" the results are magical. I feel privileged to serve students among such a dedicated family of educators who truly care about what is best for kids. I love the freedom to try new things and to serve students in a variety of settings. Can every child learn to communicate better? Absolutely!! It is my job to use my training and expertise to make sure that happens at NExA. I am thrilled that I get to work here. If you have any questions about your child's communication skills; please do not hesitate to contact me. Outside of school I love to spend time with my three grown children. I am also a hiker, swimmer, and pickleball addict.
