Jessica Osborne - Third Grade
Hello, my name is Jessica Osborne.
I absolutely love working with kids and families. I am a third-grade teacher in my second year of teaching at Borah Elementary. I graduated from Lewis-Clark State College in 2019 with a B.S. in Elementary Education, my Idaho teaching credential, and a minor in Literacy. I also hold a Reading Specialist Certificate. I am currently in graduate school at Western Governors University, studying Learning and Technology. I have dedicated my entire professional career to the education of young children.
I am passionate about creating a classroom community and classroom leadership. I do this by creating a student-led environment. In my classroom, you will see students taking agency over their learning. You will also see students synergizing, taking care of one another, discussing ways to improve their classroom community, and setting personal and group goals.
Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked for the Redding School District and Shasta Family YMCA as a program director. During my time as a program director, I was responsible for creating and running afterschool programs and summer day camps. I was also a party planner, CPR & First Aid instructor, and taught babysitting classes.
My daughter and I moved to Hayden, ID in 2015 to be closer to my family and to enjoy the beautiful Pacific Northwest! I love being creative and spending time with my fourteen-year-old daughter. Together, we love to hike, bake, and travel.
I look forward to meeting all of you and working with your wonderful children!
